Many girls In Thailand lack opportunity for proper education, so the nuns have founded Dhammajarinee Witthaya School for girls from poor families or broken homes all over Thailand. Some are orphans, violently abused or at-risk of being sexually abused.
Dhammajarinee Witthaya School is the first and only Buddhist boarding school in Thailand. According to Acharn Yai, Director and Principal, bringing TM [Transcendental Meditation] to the school is very useful because we give the students a tool to develop their consciousness.
