Thanks Anh.  Clearly not one of Moyers better moments that we can, perhaps, ascribe to youth and the perils of early careerism. Bob

My Lai Massacre; the B-52's raining of bombs over Hanoi and Haiphong; the spraying of the herbicide and defoliant Agent Orange over Viet Nam's lush landscapes; the deformities, monstrosities, and cancers resulting from Agent Orange, borne by Vietnamese victims since that time; etc.

Journalist Morley Safer in his 1990 book "Flashbacks" wrote that Moyers and President Johnson met with and "harangued" Safer's boss, CBS president Frank Stanton, about Safer's coverage of the Marines torching Cam Ne village in the Vietnam War.[17] During the meeting, Safer alleges, Johnson threatened to expose Safer's "communist ties". This was a bluff, according to Safer. Safer says that Moyers was "if not a key player, certainly a key bystander" in the incident.[18]

How many press releases did Bill Moyers write, and press briefings did he conduct, where the information he disseminated was responsible for the killings of Vietnamese children, women, and men?
