There are 2 comments on Game Theory and the Greater Good

  1. I often read and very much enjoy your Dean’s notes. Thank you for taking the time to write so eloquently about these important issues. This note spoke to me specifically as I have often felt that if we could overcome what I call the “scarcity mindset”, that is the idea that there is not enough for everyone and we must always beat others out for our own gain, that we could make great strides in regards to many of our social issues. I appreciate your framing of this concept in game theory as it makes it very easy to understand and explain to others. I plan to do my part to continue to promote public health as a public good. I want to be a voice of optimism in these tumultuous times. Thank you.
