Grading Policy, Due Dates, and Late Penalties

Information regarding how your course grade is calculated is available in the Grading and Evaluation folder in the Syllabus area of Blackboard.  Unless otherwise noted, everything is due by midnight Eastern Time (ET) on the due date.

Keep in mind that the case studies will often include questions that don’t have just one right answer--there are numerous approaches, and we look forward to hearing your perspective! For information on the rating scale for the case studies, including late penalties, please see Syllabus > Grading and Evaluation > Case Study Grading Information.

No late group projects will be accepted without a previously agreed-on extension from the faculty. Out of consideration for classmates and their grades, all group members should contribute their best effort to assuring that the project is completed on time.

Your first project is due at midnight ET on the date in the course schedule, and your second project is due at midnight ET on the date in the course schedule. You will have access to the projects for at least two weeks and should be able to complete them in a way that fits your schedule. Late projects will have 10 points deducted for every day that they are late.  In the event of an emergency, exceptions to this policy will be made. Considering the length of time you have to work on the projects, computer problems are not considered emergencies. If you’re working on a project, be sure to save it to a back-up CD, flash drive, or something equivalent so that you can submit it using another computer.
